ACNE & ACNE PRONE
Acne & Acne Prone skin types are characterized by inflammations and infections within the pores. While it can occur on the neck, back, chest and elsewhere on the body, Acne most commonly occurs on the face, in the form of cysts, eruptions and surface breakouts. Men and women of all ages and ethnicities suffer from it. Some causes include clogged oil glands, irritation at the hair follicle, hormonal imbalance and genetics.

SUN DAMAGED or DISCOLORATION
Discolored skin is characterized by irregular pigmentation and uneven skin tone, generally caused by excessive sun exposure, environmental damage, hormonal supplementation and scarring.

COMBINATION SKIN
T-Zone is typically oily all year and dryer around the face. Occasional breakouts but not often.

MATURING SKIN
Maturing Skin is characterized by cross lines and deep wrinkles, loss of volume and elasticity.

SENSITIVE
Sensitive skin falls under a catch all phrase. If you were “sensitive” to a certain product 5 to 10 years ago chances are you probably are not now. Sensitivity is burning, tingling, break outs, itchy, red, irritated skin. Some times this type of skin can be helped by simply fine tuning the skin care routine to products that work for your skin. Otherwise facials and treatments can help desensitize. If your doctor tells you that Rosacea is your problem then let your Esthetician know that before treating your skin.

NORMAL
Normal skin is generally balanced and trouble-free. Well hydrated healthy, soft and luminous. Normal skin also is typically slightly oily in the t-zone in the summer and slightly dryer in the winter.

OILY SKIN
Oily skin is characterized by excessive oil production. This skin produces oil all over the face all year. Occasionally the back and chest are included. This usually leads to lead to congestion, blackheads and breakouts.
