Mastrianni & Associates, Inc. offers spa consulting for resort/hotel spas, day spas, medical spas, private clubs and salons. We produce results that can be measured in the bottom-line success of our client’s projects. Design and Pre-Opening
Our team provides hands-on assistance from ordering equipment to assisting the Spa Director with your spa opening. We may not be architects, but we understand staff and guest flow. We review the floor plans to ensure maximum potential of your space. Staff areas, guest areas, retail space, salon space, spa space, locker areas, prep areas, entrances, and fitness rooms are all carefully reviewed and suggestions made. We have often worked with architects and/or space designers, so we can also recommend architects or space planners to you.

Spa Menu
Each year an existing facility should update their menu. A new facility must open with a simple yet interesting menu. We assist in the development of the menu by creating the services, choosing the product lines, putting together the manuals needed for the services, preparing the opening orders for the products and working with the vender and spa to ensure that the vendor's training of services are done in a timely manner for the staff. Mastrianni & Associates offer's shopper's reports. Donna Mastrianni has visited over 65 sites reviewing services, retail, guest flow, and protocols. Incognito is our name when it comes to evaluations. We will visit your property and review the staff, services and flow and offer unbiased opinions.

We customize the protocol to the property. The reason is that one property may not have the same needs or the same amenities as another. Our team sits down with the leads, owners and/or managers/directors to create a comprehensive protocol for each area of the spa. Since developing protocols can be time consuming, we feel it is imperative to have a set of protocols that have been reviewed and approved in place before the hiring begins.

Spa Staff Training
Hiring and training sets the stage for a new employee and the owner/director. If the right person is not placed in the right position, all the training in the world will not make a difference. Let us assist you with the hiring, set the protocols and implement the training of your staff. We assist in hiring and training all spa staff including technicians, personal trainers, housekeepers, coordinators and all other positions necessary at your facility.

Mentoring Staff and Post-Opening
The best way to train your staff is for them to see the way it should be done. We will walk them through every aspect of the spa business so they can understand and appreciate the entire process of serving customers as your honored guests. An employee who is at home will welcome guests into an atmosphere of warmth and gracious hospitality.

We suggest a three to six month retainer after opening so that we can work closely with your staff. Opening a property is a stressful time. We like to keep the stress levels down by offering our experience and support on site and/or thru daily emails, phone calls and faxes. Your staff and management will need support to get through all the glitches that occur immediately after opening.

Retreats
The retreat experience is a specialty at Mastrianni & Associates. Our professional team is extremely talented in creating the right combination of amenities, ambiance, and activities to suit a discriminating clientele. We develop and implement retreats for private clubs, bed and breakfasts, resorts, or even a client's estate. We share our expertise by teaching our clients how to design specificly themed retreats each year.

Our in-depth support training package provides guides for meals, entertainment, fitness classes, massage, body treatments, and facials - all in combination with activities as diverse as skeet shooting, horseback riding, tai chi, Pilates (Classical Alignment™), dance movement therapy or kayaking. It is our desire to offer the quintensential retreat experience which delights the senses and refreshes the soul.

Pilates
For many years, professional dancers and models have developed and enhanced grace and strength through physical training based on exercises developed by Joseph H. Pilates. Today, that same training is available to non-dancers through Classical Alignment™, a strengthening and lengthening movement series based on the teachings of Pilates Technique.

Classical Alignment™ was developed by exercise physiologist and dance therapist Marie Artman, M. Ed. It is designed for the success of the non-dancer to improve his/her posture and re-educate the body to move with proper alignment and grace. Fitness enthusiasts are not the only ones enjoying the postural benefits of Pilates. Professional and casual sport athletes of golf, tennis, and equestrians are also finding improvement with their technique by studying this work.

We offer Classical Alignment™ through Mastrianni & Associates, Inc. Marie Artman holds certifications in Pilates from Polestar Education, Physical Mind Institute, and has trained in London with renowned Pilates master Alan Herdman. She has presented Classical Alignment™ both at national and international conferences and is also well-known for her video Classical Alignment™.
